Rev. Jim Munroe -
The Rev. Jim Munroe is an Episcopal priest who most recently served for 17 years as the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Springfield, Massachusetts. Now in his retirement, he helps out part time at a church in New York City.
Jim graduated from Williams College in 1972 and from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1975. He interrupted his college years with a 2 year enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam for two months, was wounded and returned home. For the past 35 years, he has worked with the Veterans Education Project (VEP), a western Massachusetts organization that sends veterans into classrooms to tell their stories about the realities of war. With his own healing from PTSD, he has also worked with other veterans struggling with the same issues.
