Soul Nourishment: Reading and Understanding the Bible in Personal Devotion.  In Psalm 19, David praises God for his laws and decrees saying, “They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.” (Verse 10) Does your heart rejoice in reading God’s Word more than it rejoices in a $500 gift card? More than it rejoices in dessert? How is it that David can rejoice in the Word of God so deeply, so sweetly? In this workshop, we’ll look at the Bible as one great story of God’s love and rescuing. We’ll learn how to study God’s Word as a personal devotion and how to have conversation with God through His Word. We’ll ask God to give us hearts like David that treasure and delight in His Word. And, we’ll see how God uses His Word to speak into every part of our hearts and lives.
